Sub-Acute Care is designed for patients who no longer need hospitalization but do require additional treatment before returning home. Services include Medical-Surgical Care, Rehabilitation and specialized services. Medical-Surgical Care is a full spectrum of medical and nursing services available under the supervision of interdisciplinary teams. Their usual length of stay is from 5 to 8 days. Rehabilitation is a highly sophisticated program of rehabilitation for men and women recovering from strokes, fractures, amputations or other injuries. Specialized services develop individualized treatment plans for all those admitted to the Sub-Acute Care program. The patient's typical stay for the Rehabilitation service ranges from 2 to 8 weeks.
