Workforce Intensive is a two-week program that provides men and women with work-readiness training and assistance with career development. The program is open to people involved with the criminal justice system, with a focus on individuals being discharged through the Rikers Island Discharge Enhancement (RIDE) initiative. Workforce Intensive is an HRA approved vendor.
1| Resume preparation and interview training
2| Job search and retention support
3| Comprehensive career coaching
4| Training on workplace socialization, financial literacy, addressing the conviction question, cognitive behavioral therapy & goal setting
5| Free MetroCard and lunch
Mon.-Fri., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Inmates or former inmates, or people in conflict with law.
1| Have a criminal record
2| Be and remain free of illicit drugs
3| TABE test at 7th grade literacy and 5th to 7th grade math levels
4| Be committed to the completion of a two-week job training program
