Description:The Worksource Center offers people with developmental disabilities a chance to learn a job skill. The center also focuses on helping individuals learn appropriate behaviors to get them ready for employment outside the agency. | The Worksource Center offers three community-based options for consumers: The Supported Work Program can lead to enclave or individual placements. Enclaves are small groups who are ready to work in the community but require full-time supervision, which is provided by the staff. Individual Supported Work Placements are designed for those who need intensive training and support on the job site for a time-limited period. The Worksource Centertraining specialists provide on-the-job training until necessary skills are learned, then offer ongoing support for as long as needed. | A third placement option is for those who are ready to work full-time, without supports, period of training at the center. The graduates are hired directly by local firms and are working successfully in settings such as department stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and offices.
