Description:Safe Horizon assists domestic violence victims who are unable to afford legal representation by offering the following services: group presentations on legal rights and remedies for domestic violence victims, legal advice on general and specific legal problems, legal representation in family offense, custody, visitation, and matrimonial actions, and referrals to social services, such as individual counseling and support groups. Assistance is also given for economic issues such as information about child support, public assistance benefits, unemploymenrt, SSD or SSI, welfare advocacy, including waivers for work, child support, drug screening and other requirements. Legal representation in child support enforcement proceedings at fair hearings, SSD/SSI hearings or unemployment insurance appeals and advocacy for clients who have been fired from jobs because of domestic violence.

Hours:Mon - Fri, 9:30 am -5:30 pm; Crisis Services are 24 hrs./7 days.
