Description:The program partners case managers with NYPD's Housing Bureau's police officers to conduct outreach and assist victims of domestic violence who reside in NYC Housing Authority. Case managers work with clients providing information and referrals; advocate with court, government, and social service agencies; provide relocations; crisis intervention counseling; emergency food; assistance with obtaining orders of protection; legal, housing, and public assistance advocacy; shelter placement; support groups; and long-term counseling. There are 9 service areas throughout New York City.
Hours:M-F, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Crisis Services are 24 hrs./7 days.
