Early intervention means discovering that a child between birth and age three has or is at risk of having delayed condition, or other special needs, that may affect his or her development and then providing services to the child and family to lessen the effects of the condition. Services provided may include any of the following: assistive technology devices and services; audiological services; family training counseling, home visits and parent support groups; medical services for diagnostic or evaluation purposes; nursing services; nutrition services; occupational therapy; physical therapy; psychological services; service coordination; social work services; special instruction; speech-language pathology; vision services; transportation and related costs.
Children ages 0 to 3 with a developmental delay or physical mental condition with a high probability of resulting delay.
Fees/Methods of Payment:Free (Billed to NYS government).
