Services provided: advocacy for benefits and entitlements such as public assistance, food stamps, Medicaid, and SSI; food provision in emergencies; information and referral; self-help groups; short-term counseling to individuals and families; and technical assistance and support to parish/community-based human service efforts, ESOL, medical clinic and job development.
Provide GED, Literacy, English, Math, Science and Social Studies instruction. Offer classes in 21st Century Enrichment from Improvisational Acting, Playwriting, English & Math Tutoring, Computer Skills, Financial Literacy, Digital Photography and much more.
Mon.-Fri., 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Persons in need, aged 0-60. Open to all residents of Queens Community Boards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, regardless of religious affiliation.
Call for appointment. Youth must be between 17-21 years of age in order to be eligible for the GED program. If they are 17 years of age, they are required to obtain the parent's permission to attend and they may not take the actual GED exam until they turn 18 years old. Students who are 21 years of age are only allowed to remain in the program if they are still 21 until June of the academic year.
Fees/Methods of Payment:Free and confidential. A donation is acceptable. Medical clinic fees based on income level.
