The Child Center of New York is a full service outpatient mental health services for a wide range of emotional problems. Services are provided at community centers in Flushing, Jamaica, Kew Gardens Hills, South Jamaica, and Woodside. Included are: psychotherapy for children, adolescents and parents, family and marital counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medication as needed, crisis intervention and short term counseling. Support groups for parents, grandparents, siblings and peers. Advocacy to schools, health care, legal and recreational providers. Violence prevention for families at risk of foster care placement. Drug and alcohol rehabilitation for parents and adolescents. Evaluation and remediation to developmentally delayed infants/toddlers.

No restrictions.

Fees/Methods of Payment:Private insurance; Medicaid; Child Health Plus; and sliding scale fees, according to clients' ability to pay. Some programs are free.
