Description:Formerly known as formerly The Jewish Braille Institute of America, JBI makes Judaic reading materials available to the blind, visually impaired, and reading disabled. Collection includes a broad selection of fiction and nonfiction of a Judaic nature. Braille books are in Hebrew and English; large print books in Hebrew and English; talking books in English, Russian, Yiddish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Romanian and Polish. Other services include: religious instruction materials for children in Hebrew and English braille, large print, and audio tape formats; visiting authors program; and books of Jewish interest in the Spanish language.
Hours:Mon - Fri, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Eligibility Requirements:Blind, visually impaired, or learning disabled.
Admission Requirements/Documents:Document certifying to impairment.
Fees/Methods of Payment:Free.
