"The Center for Anti-Violence Education is a multi-racial, community-based organization that has trained over 20,000 women and children in violence-prevention and self-defense--and touched the lives of many more through coalition and organizing work. Our ... courses have pioneered violence-prevention for children, seniors, battered women, people with disabilities, lesbians and gay men, and teenage women. Through the Center's trainings, women and children grow stronger in body and spirit and develop new skills to work against violence." Onsite training includes: Training for teenage girls (14 to 19); co-educational training for children 6 to 14 years old; training for adult women, survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.
