Description:Special Services coordinates library programs and services to older adults and people with disabilities for the Queens Borough Public Library. These services include: assistive equipment for people who need auditory or visual enhancement to use library materials; outreach to adults in institutions; audiotaping of materials unavailable through Library for the Blind; staff training on serving customers with special needs; a TDD; and telephone information and referral. Special and ongoing programs concerning disabilities or aging are presented throughout the branches and Central Library.
Hours:Mon - Fri, 9 am - 9 pm; Sat, 10 am -5:30 pm; Sun 12 - 5 pm.
