Description:The Queens Occupational Training Center, a District 75 City-wide Board of Education facility, serves mentally handicapped 16 to 21 year olds, under the supervision of a licensed teacher and paraprofessional, work and study at the Community House four days a week. It is an occupational training center, providing work related skills and focusing on integrating students into community based employment/instructional activities, while teaching the necessary academic and social skills to be successful in the school, home and work environments.
Hours:Mon - Fri, 8 am - 3 pm
Eligibility Requirements:Mentally handicapped high school students aged 16 to 21 and attending the Queens Occupational Training Center are eligible.
Services Offered:Independent Living Skills Instruction, Secondary / High Schools, Vocational Education,
Languages Offered:Spanish,
