Description:
The Lighthouse is dedicated to enabling people who are partially sighted or blind to lead independent lives in the work place and in leisure and social activities. A variety of programs are offered, including independent living skills, career services, counseling and testing, support services, education, low-vision and medical services, leisure services and products.
Hours:
Mon - Fri, 9 am- 5 pm
Eligibility Requirements:
Individuals with severe visual impairments that limit their ability to perform ordinary tasks are eligible. Customers need not be certified as legally blind.
Admission Requirements/Documents:
Report from ophthalmologist or optometrist and medical report.
Access for People with Disabilities:Wheelchair ramp at entrance; multiple floors; grab bars in restrooms; special elevator control buttons; lowered telephones.
