Extensively concerned with prevention, intervention, treatment and complete supportive care in the area of substance abuse. Four components are Residential, Day Service, Homeward Bound and Prevention. RESIDENTIAL Drug-free, live-in treatment facility with 21 beds. Comprehensive treatment program. All client needs (medical, transportation, food, etc.) are attended to. Includes individual, family and group counseling, legal assistance and/or representation, psychological testing and follow-up, GED, adult basic education and vocational services. DAY SERVICE Drug-free ambulatory program. A daily program including individual and group counseling, on-site adult basic education, vocational training and placement, random urinalysis. PREVENTION Addresses inappropriate and self-defeating behaviors and values. Open to anyone, not only persons involved with drugs. Includes individual, group and family counseling, crisis intervention, GED program with computer instruction, tutoring, life skills workshops, adult basic education, job training and placement. HOMEWARD BOUND Drug-free live-in treatment facility with 15 beds for homeless substance-abusing males over 18. Clients received through the Heart Project.
