The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU) is a non-partisan organization created in 2009 by a U.S. Department of Education grant, and founded on the belief that dialogue and shared experiences are essential to combating intolerance, overcoming stereotypes, and promoting understanding.

CERRU provides students from diverse backgrounds conflict negotiation training as well as a safe venue to engage in dialogue on subjects that are difficult and not easily resolved. Their goal is to build a movement of cross-cultural engagement that inspires a new generation of leaders to create positive social change in an increasingly interconnected world.
