SPOP's Continuing Day Treatment Program is for adults who are unable to attend a community senior center due to serious psychiatric illness. For these clients, SPOP offers a highly structured treatment program with a focus on the particular needs of each client.
The program staff includes social workers, case managers, a psychiatric nurse, and a psychiatrist, who work together to provide an enjoyable, and supportive environment for participants.
The Continuing Day Treatment Program provides:
Psychiatric screening and evaluation
Individual and group counseling
Supportive skills training groups including health education, stress management and self-esteem building activities.
Therapeutic activities such as music, movement and art therapy groups, performance workshop, pet therapy and exercise
Nutritious, well-balanced meals, including breakfast, a hot lunch, and a snack.
Door-to-door escorted transportation

Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Adults age 55 and over who are functionally impaired due to psychiatric illness. Clients must be ambulatory, continent, able to eat independently, and able to participate in an active group setting.
