The Central Library @ Queens Library contains nearly one million volumes of materials in comprehensive subject collections, and more than 800 titles of academic and professional journals and magazines, as well as professional indices and abstracts
Collection includes: science, business, computer programming, car repair, pets, gardening, taxation, philosophy, psychology, religion, politics, sociology, social work, public administration, African American materials, education. Law, biographies, literature, foreign languages, community information, art, music, theatre, dance, games, photography, tv, film, sports, music CDs, audio books, DVDs, civil service study guides, cliff notes and graphic novels.
It also has over 100 public computers, limited printing and many cultural/educational programs.

You may obtain a library card if you live, work, go to school or own property in New York State.
If you do not live, own property, work or go to school in New York State you may purchase a non-resident card for an annual fee of $50.00.
For a library card must have a valid photo ID and proof of address like a recent utility bill. You can also use a driver's License or a New York State ID.
