South Jamaica Library to Close for Repairs

South Jamaica Community Library, located at 108-41 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, will close on Thursday, April 5 through the end of August 2018 so that its roof can be replaced.

Mobile library service will be provided on Mondays and start on April 9, 2018. The service hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During the closure, you can also visit the following nearby libraries: Central Library, Baisley Park, and St. Albans.

NYCitizenship Information Sessions

Queens Library has partnered with the NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs to bring you NYCitizenship, a program to assist New Yorkers along the path to citizenship.

Attend our upcoming information sessions to learn how to apply for citizenship easily; the benefits of becoming a citizen; and how to receive financial counseling.

Items with due dates of March 21 will now be due on Friday, March 23.

Whitestone Library To Close for Repairs

2018-03-17

Whitestone Community Library, located at 151-10 14 Road, will close to the public on March 17 for approximately two weeks for interior repairs and abatement of asbestos tiles in preparation for a masonry construction project.

We expect Whitestone to reopen in the first week of April, and the masonry project will continue through July 2018.

During the two-week closure, you can visit the following nearby libraries: Bay Terrace, Poppenhusen, Auburndale, and Mitchell-Linden.
