Children’s Library Discovery Center

The Children's Library Discovery Center opened in 2011. It includes hands-on interactive exhibits and learning labs with our very own Discovery Team to enable children ages 3-12 to find information and to inspire interest in books, reading, and learning.

Come and meet our Discovery Team!

Check out our Science Fair Handbook, a simple guide that explains the steps to successfully complete a science fair assignment. It includes explanations for each step, dozens of project ideas, and a list of helpful websites. Good luck with your project. Check out your local library for books on your chosen topic!

Another new tool available for children through the library is the PowerKids Life Science database. This great resource is specifically designed for learners in grades 3 to 6. PowerKids Life Science promotes digital literacy and 21st century learning skills while offering research, report, and homework help.

The library has two great new resources for children. Ideal for school or for year around learning. BookFlix and TrueFlix are two of our databases that help children with literacy. Check them out now!
