TTY or TeleTYpewriter is a term that is most often used today for a telecommunication device for the deaf (TDD). A telephone/keyboard hybrid sends messages over telephone lines to a partner device at the other end (or to a NYS Relay System operator) where they are displayed on an LED screen and/or printed.

This service is offered as a part of Special Services.
