The Stay Well program introduces participants, ages 60 and older, to special exercises, relaxation techniques and the benefits of good nutrition. This program is sponsored by the New York City Department for the Aging and is held, on a regular basis, at the Central Library, Flushing, and East Elmhurst.

A telecommunication device for the hearing impaired. This telephone/keyboard hybrid sends keyed messages over phone lines to a partner device where they are displayed and/or printed. This program is offered by Queens Borough Public Library in partnership with Bell Atlantic.

Bi-Folkal Productions is a non-profit company formed by librarians seeking new ways to encourage creative programming within older adult and mixed-age groups. By facilitating interaction and conversation, Bi-Folkal kits have proven to be an effective recreation therapy took in nursing homes, adult homes, adult day care centers, and senior centers, as well as some home care environments.
