A Breeze from the Gardens of Persia: New Art from Iran features sixty-eight contemporary works from Iranian artists, approximately one-third of whom are women. This stunning collection of oils, acrylics, watercolors, collages, drawings, miniature paintings and calligraphy are on display through December 29. These works are on loan from individual artists and private institutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The influence of Persian culture and poetry are direct influences for these works of art and a major theme of this show. Join us at the Queens Library Gallery to experience the rich culture of Iran through its expressive contemporary art. Recommended
