Queens: Then & Now; A slide lecture with Historian Fred Hadley
Queens has its own engineers who are responsible for the infrastructure
of New York City's largest borough. The Queens Topographical Bureau's
collection of photographs of locations in Astoria, Elmhurst, Flushing,
Jamaica, Little Neck and Fresh Meadows from the 1920s and 1930s, along
with slides taken of the same locations by Mr. Hadley show the changes
that took place over a 70-year span.

photographer and filmmaker Rudy Burckhardt who played an important role
in the movement commonly known as the New York School in the 1940s and

two separate occasions (1940 and 1943).
