The Art of Dos Passos
January 24 - April 1, 2001

John Dos Passos, a major novelist of the post World War I "lost generation," was also a talented artist. The Art of Dos Passos vividly chronicles his travels as a social revolutionary from New York to Paris, across the Soviet Republic, throughout the Middle East and back to Spain. The sixty-three colorful landscapes and insightful portraits on display combine his unique perspective with the modernist influences of such friends and colleagues as Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Leger and Juan Gris. The Art of Dos Passos provides rare commentary of an exciting era.

This exhibition was organized by International Arts & Artists.
