It's News to Me! is an interactive exhibit featuring hands-on discovery areas that explore all about the news. What is news? Who makes the news? How do they make it? Who decides what goes into the evening news or on the radio? Find the answers to these questions and learn about why the news matters to everyone.

Did you ever wonder how a reporter gathers information for a news story? Want to find out more about the people behind the scenes of a newspaper? Reporters use their skills of observation, questioning and recording to form a news story.
But isn't there more than one side to every story? News can be slanted one way or another depending on someone's point of view. Reading the news requires many skills. The news requires us to think critically, and listen carefully and make our own judgements.
