EDUCATION

Bring your class!

Teachers are invited to bring their students to the Queens Library Gallery for a field trip. Scheduled visits include a guided tour of the current exhibition and either a related studio art or writing activity. Classes of up to 30 students are divided into smaller groups to tour the exhibition. Within each group, every participant is encouraged to look carefully at works of art and articulate an individual response. Through object-guided discussions, the Education Staff strives to develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation of art among students.

All scheduled visits are free and approximately 90 minutes long. Maximum class size is 30 students. Tours are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday.

Call 718.990.8665 to schedule a visit.
