Join us at the Queens Library Gallery to learn more about our current exhibition Eggs as Art:  A Contemporary View of Ethnic Traditions. Eggs as Art showcases more than 150 eggs and 20 egg shell mosaics by contemporary Wisconsin-based artist, Paula Hare. This exhibition also explores the cultural diversity of egg decorating traditions, featuring folk art eggs from many countries including Australia, Bali, China, Mexico, Poland, and Russia. Class visits include a group tour and discussion of the artworks on exhibit, and a craft activity. Group tours can be geared toward any age group. Use this exhibition to generate classroom discussion regarding:

  • Folk art, craft and traditions
  • Geography
  • World Culture
