JOSÉ RUIZ José Ruiz is guided by an interest in establishing a visual conversation with the social and hierarchal issues that float outside of a studio or studio practice. These gestures are his way of cementing artistic interventions or road bumps within the seemingly natural progression of art & society’s shared neo-histories. Each investigation, materialized through a wide variety of mediums and formal processes, inherently resurfaces his ongoing focus on identity, visibility and authorship. |
