Where is the title I put on hold?

To see titles you have placed on hold, sign into your account on OverDrive and click “My Digital Account” in the menu on the right.  Then select “My Holds,” from the menu at the center of the page.

Can I renew eContent?

eContent you download to your device automatically expires at the end of your lending period. If there is not a hold on that content, you can search and download it again from the OverDrive site.

How do I limit my search for eContent to titles formatted for my device?

Click on the link to “Advanced Search” in the bottom right corner of your OverDrive screen and choose an ereader format from the drop-down menu labeled “Format.” If you do a search with no title and just a selected format (ex: “Kindle Book”) from the drop-down it will show you all copies of eBooks we currently have in Kindle format.

How do I limit my search for eContent on OverDrive to only available titles?

You can select "Only Available Copies" on the Quick Search or "Only show titles with copies available" on the Advanced Search to limit all the search results to only available titles.

I just applied for a library card, why can’t I download eContent from OverDrive?

During the application process, you will only have partial access to our online resources and databases. This does not include access to digital media, ebooks, audiobooks, digital music, or videos.
After you’ve completed the form online, within 60 days you will have to come into one of our many locations to receive your library card. At that time, your account will be upgraded to full status, providing you with access to all of the services we offer.

What can I do if the OverDrive site is down?

Our eContent vendor occasionally experiences service outages.  Please try to your transaction again and let us know if you need further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

How can I download ebooks from OverDrive?

From the main page, open the “Books” dropdown menu, select, “eBooks” and click “eBooks @ Overdrive”

From the main page, open the “Entertainment” dropdown menu, select “Digital Media & Downloads” and click “Videos” and click “Videos @ Overdrive.”

How can I return ebooks and other downloads from OverDrive?

According to our lending policy for digital media, some titles can be returned before they expire. Titles cannot be renewed, but you can check them out again after they expire if they are still available.

What happened to the contents of “My Digital Cart?”

Titles added to "My Digital Cart" are automatically removed after 30 minutes if not checked out before that time.
