A Carnival of Animals features over 80 original vibrant illustrations of walking, crawling, swimming creatures found in children's books from all over the world.

These delightful and whimsical illustrations depict the animal world, from graceful swans and crouching tigers to cuddly kittens and scholarly owls. Beautiful narratives emerge in each illustration and reinforce the connection between artwork and storytelling in children's literature. Children and adults will find favorite books and discover new ones while recognizing differences and similarities in the approaches of other cultures to literature and book illustration. The collection contains works in a wide range of styles and mediums including collage, charcoal, acrylic, paint and graphite.
