Kowai: Japanese Monsters

Think you know monsters? Think again! Explore the creepy denizens of the island of Japan, from shape-shifting foxes and ghostly cats to hopping umbrellas, burning wheels and other strange creatures of the weird. Bring an open mind; we'll be filling it with some crazy new stories of things that go bump in the night!

Twilight Tales

Children ages 18 months to 5 years are invited to snuggle up with a parent or caregiver for classic stories and songs. Mrs. Tina and a different adult volunteer will read old and new favorites every week. Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and slippers and to bring a flashlight. Space is limited; 20 children will be admitted, first come, first served.

Summer Festival

The Friends of the Douglaston/Little Neck Library invite you to a special event at our Art Gallery. Meet Douglaston artist Susan Herz, known for her watercolors and mixed media. Listen to music, mingle with staff and enjoy wine, fruit and cheese. All donations will go toward programs and purchasing new library materials.
