If your income is under $66,000, you qualify to receive free online tax return filing assistance. Volunteers from the New York State Tax Department will guide you through tax preparation software available on their website as you learn how to prepare and e-file your federal and state income tax returns at no cost. Volunteers will be available that speak English.
