Queens Library, in cooperation with the New York State Tax Department, is offering free tax-preparation assistance at participating libraries from January to April. If your income did not exceed $62,000 in 2015, you qualify to e-file at no cost. Volunteers will be available that speak English. To learn more about the free e-file program, visit www.tax.ny.gov. Beginners' Refresher Knitting Workshop for Adults

Madelyn Rich teaches participants with little or no experience how to knit. Yarn will be provided. Participants must bring their own 9-inch No. 7 straight knitting needles, a measuring tape or rule, and a tapestry needle. Preregistration is required.
