Tax Preparation Assistance

IRS-trained counselors will help you complete your 2014 personal income tax return. Be sure to bring a copy of your 2013 income tax return(s); all W-2 forms, 1099 forms and other documents for tax year 2014; unemployment compensation statements; your SSA-1099 form if you received Social Security benefits; a photo ID for every person listed on the return; and Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents.

Pedestrian Safety for Seniors

The Community Coordinator for the New York City Department of Transportation's Office of Safety Education, will conduct this pedestrian safety workshop to educate seniors about crossing New York City streets. Seniors will learn safety tips and about Mayor de Blasio's new traffic safety initiative, Vision Zero. There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of the presentation.

Drawing to See: A Drawing Workshop

Over the course of eight weeks participants will learn a variety of drawing techniques that will sharpen their capacity to see in ways an artist sees. The ninth session will be a culminating event consisting of a gallery showing of participants' work. This is a Lifetime Arts Creative Aging program for adults age 50 and up.
