The ESOL Technology Program will prepare English language learners to use various computer software programs in order to improve their computer and English skills. The Quilting Project

Location: Kew Gardens Hills

Professional teaching artist Karen Fitzgerald leads the class in sewing, planning and quilting processes to create a quilt project from small to large. Participants will learn about the different types of fabrics and approaches to designing a quilt. If you have never used a sewing machine, sewing lessons are included. Managing Depression

PEARLS by Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Do you know of a senior who seems sad all the time, lost interest in things they used to love, or is having trouble sleeping or loss of appetite? Feeling sad or blue from time to time is normal, but it should fade away after a few days. The Visiting Nurse Services of New York offers free screenings for participation in their new program called PEARLS. You must be 65 or older and live in Queens or Manhattan.
