Corona Library's 50th Anniversary

On Saturday, December 8, 2018, the Friends of Corona Library hosted the branch’s celebration of 50 years at its current location.

It was a festive evening filled with delicious treats, great musical and dance performances from members of the Corona community, and strong support from our elected officials.

The evening included a recognition ceremony honoring three staff members who have each worked at Corona Library for about three decades—Customer Service Supervisor Blanca Silva, Customer Service Representative Nidetka Alvarez, and Library Custodian Joel Jones—and have been a crucial part of the library’s positive impact on the community.

Thank you to the Friends of Corona Library Planning Committee, whose hard work and effort produced the engaging program and creative decorations that guests talked about all evening long! Thanks as well to Corona Community Library Manager Vilma Daza and all of the dedicated staff at the library, and thank you to the Corona community for its support and love of the library over the past 50 years!
