CALL - Customer Account Library Line

Renew Material / Check Your Account by Telephone

Queens Library lets customers from any touch-tone telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • Renew library materials.
  • Check availability of materials on hold.
  • Get a list of overdue items.

What Do I Need to Use CALL?

  1. A touch-tone telephone.
  2. Your Queens Library card number (the 13 digit number on the back of your library card).
  3. A personal identification number (PIN).
    • You can choose any 4-digit number to be your PIN number at the circulation desk of any library location. If you want to change your PIN number, you may go to the “My Account” feature of our webpage and click on “Reset Your PIN” or log on to your account and click “Change Password”.

How Do I Use CALL?

  1. Have your Queens Library Card and your PIN handy.
  2. Phone  718-990-8508  from a touch-tone phone. Rotary phone users: please call your Community Library during regular hours of service.
  3. After you have connected, follow these instructions:
    • Press 2 for Account Options, Press 5 for Renewals, or Press 6 for Information on Items You Have Requested.
    • As prompted by the CALL system, enter the barcode from your Queens Library Card, which can be found at the back of your library card.
    • Then enter your PIN.

Can I renew online?

  1. Yes. To renew online, go to My Account.
  2. Have your Queens Library Card and your PIN handy.

Note: Materials may be renewed as long as you have no more than 50 items charged to your account and your account is in good standing. If a customer owes $15.00 or more in fees, borrowing privileges, including renewals, are suspended until the amount owed is less than $15.00.
